Business Intelligence Consultant
The BI Professional Services Consultant delivers complex high value business intelligence solutions to enterprise customers – this includes technical design and deployment, skills transfer and mentoring of customer staff. The BI Professional Services Consultant will also work with the sales and pre-sales teams to propose solutions to existing and new customers. He/she has advanced knowledge of strategic systems and technologies and is able to apply standard methodologies for the analysis and design of solutions.
The BI Professional Services Consultant reports to the Professional Services Manager.

Work with the sales team and customers to understand and define and scope BI solutions, using substantial Business Intelligence expertise and business process expertise
Lead and project manage the technical implementation, liaising with the sales, support and product teams
Advise on technical and project aspects
Work effectively with the customer to identify and promote future opportunities
Maintain strong product knowledge and market awareness
Ensure high quality in presentation and quality of deliverables
Establish and agree to standards for the application development, style guide, naming conventions, change control and documentation standards
Organize administration – project code, expenses etc
Establish priorities with the customer and look for opportunities to deliver quick wins
Keep the Professional Services Manager up to date with the progress of the project
Document all work and key customer communications
SKILLS, ABILITY AND EXPERIENCE
Educated to degree level
Substantial BI skills and experience
Significant Datawarehousing knowledge and related project experience
Significant work experience in a technical consulting or engineering environment
Expert working knowledge of at least three operating systems, and exposure to others
Strong working knowledge of methodologies and project management principles and associated tools
Knowledge and experience with data quality and master data management solution delivery is a pre
Demonstrated technical advisory skills
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Fluency in Dutch and English is essential. Additional fluency in another European language would be an advantage
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and unexpected situations
Take ownership for the quality of the tasks/work being performed, continuously looking for ways to improve value
Excellent interpersonal skills
Excellent presentation skills, with the ability to convey credibility and authority
Must be willing to travel as necessary
